The collection is divided into Administration files, consisting of correspondence, reports and subject files on many topics of concern to the agency, including the capitol building; and Institutions files, files concerning the separate institutions mentioned above, to a great extent focusing on events, policies, construction, maintenance, admissions, budgetary matters, and personnel. A number of the institutions mentioned are juvenile detention facilities.
